Members will be aware that the club has been working to fill the vacant position after Jim Watt left the club as Head of Coaching . A sub committee chaired by Des Allen and including Shirley Coleman , Rosari O Brien , Stephen Twaddell and Michael Byrne have reviewed the club requirements and the Management Committee has approved the recruitment of a new role – Tennis Director which is being advertised from today with a closing date for receipt of applications by 26th February
The role will have a broader remit than previously with four key objectives . viz.:

• Increase participation in tennis through recruitment and retention of new & existing members
• To create a specific new junior performance program &  improve our senior program that allows each member to reach his or her full potential at each level.
• Create a games based approach to playing tennis  & competition opportunities at all ages & playing levels.
• Address the low numbers of girls & women in the sport of tennis from junior age right up to seniors
